You're an idiot. Just an absolute idiot. You'll defend your idiot side to the death,
yeah, that "idiot" rule of law side. :theshrink:

The settlement was done before Obama made the announcement, genius.

Tuesday night on TV:

“Tomorrow, I will meet with the chairman of BP and inform him that he is to set aside whatever resources are required to compensate the workers and business owners who have been harmed as a result of his company’s recklessness. And this fund will not be controlled by BP. In order to ensure that all legitimate claims are paid out in a fair and timely manner, the account must and will be administered by an independent third party.”

Wednesday Obama meets with them for 20 minutes and leaves, while the meeting lasts for hours.
After about 4 hours is when the exec comes out, is interviewed and has the "small people" slip up. At this point it, there is still no agreement.

Sometime after that:
Enter Vice President Biden, the designated Bad Cop.

Sources told the Daily News that Biden leaned forward and bluntly informed the Blight Brigade they had no choice: If they didn't do the right thing and put the cash in escrow, it would be done to them.

Agreed. However, these same people who want less government are now criticizing Obama for holding BP accountable and attempting to avoid using government debt to pay for the disaster. Unreal. Just absolutely unreal.

yep.
Who gives these fucks the right to endanger whole ecosystems to the benefit of private profits?

All those who lied, intentionally hid, downplayed and ignored the potential risk are responsible and should be hanged from the nearest tree. This is no small matter.

Amazing how these right wing fucks are screaming for more deregulation in the face of everything.

keep leaning on that strawman, it's all you got.

You are so obtuse, it's incredible. Obama does the best thing possible here and you fucking twats are criticizing him for it. Neocons are so fucking dense it's unbelievable. Strawman, my ass. There was no better solution. And you know it. You're just too fucking stupid to admit that your side is full of fucking shit.

lol almost forgot this post. you're delusional if you think you're independent. you get offended when I criticize Obama and solicit but "Bush and Republicans did it" arguments over and over.

Oh. Now you're going to tell me what I am. LOL. Too fucking funny. When you criticize the Republicans some time, maybe you'll get an argument from me. But we both know that will NEVER happen. Idiot.

No I'm telling you what you are not. How about you point out all those posts I made "parroting" neocons. Again, you can't. You're really losing creditability here.

And like I said before I don't pay attention to the Rs and Ds, but you obviously do, Mr. Independent.

It's about legal procedure jackass. It's about the lack of due process.

How about you give me the legal standing where the President has the authority to this? YOU CAN'T. it doesn't exist. Because it's the rule of Obama, not the rule of law.

You don't need due process outside of a courtroom, genius. There have been no charges filed yet. Legal standing? LOL. The President can talk to whoever the fuck he wants. It was BP's choice whether they agreed to the terms or not. If Obama had to use threats against them in order for them to pay for their own disaster and take the burden away from taxpayers, then he gets extra kudos.

Actually, Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska) is a brilliant man and one that, had he been the Republican candidate, he would have secured my vote. I am hoping that Obama nominates the Senator for a position in his Cabinet, such as Secretary of State or National Security Advisor.

I also voted for Bush in his first term.

You can simply search SBR for Obama posts with your username for parroting posts. There are far too many to list.

A stock buyout doesn't absolve them of their debts. Whoever purchases the shares would still be responsible for the debt.

I never said that was going to happen...they are still going to be on the hook regardless I am just saying that they won't go bankrupt and their stocks aren't going to plummet.

oh and this back and forth between you and marbles is hilarious.
