FW, the main purpose of getting the weight off aside from living long enough to wear Teela down is so I can get knee replacements. Insurance won't replace them until I am 50 unless I was completely incapacitated.

I can walk but after not very long the pain is intense. I deal with it the best I can cause I can't allow work to catch on and push for disability. I've recently had to give up golf and even though you guys don't know me as it pertains to what's real and what's not to the guys I play golf with they know just how bad it has to be for me to not play.

Either tomorrow after work or Friday I am going to Gainesville Health & Fitness and joining. They have an indoor pool. Also was told they have that pool with the current thing so you are like walking upstream. Plenty of stationary equipment as well.

Also gonna call the Metabolics place tomorrow.

You know what you're doing? You're making excuses. You can talk yourself out of doing anything and I know all about that first hand. Don't try and snow the snowman.

There's an entire industry built around low impact workouts. You think you're the first big guy with bad knees who is trying to lose weight?

Stop talking about it and humming and hoing and just get out there and do it. Join a really good gym and go 5 times a week. Eat shit that was only around 500 years ago. You know, shit that grows from the ground. Fruit, veggies and whole grains. You are a smart man, wally. How bad do you want it? Stop being an annoying turd for once and impress us all. Take before pictures and update your progress as you go along. Change your life for the better wally.

This is the best I can do...

Wally there's literally thousands out there like you that had to make a choice. I hate gastric bypass surgery. Have seen too many of them go bad. Set a realistic goal of 1-2 pounds a week and start educating yourself on how to lose FAT, not just weight. Scales are very deceiving. You could lose 100 pounds and have a higher fat to muscle ratio than before losing all the weight. People lose water weight and muscle all the time and think they're making progress because the scale shows a lower #, in reality they're less healthy than before.

Wally start a journal and update it weekly. Post pics. Could be epic. Send in pics to biggest loser. This is +EV. Imagine if you get in shape, magazines will paying you for your story.

Wal66, serious question. Are you ttwarrior from SBR? I know many guys post at both forums and TT is overweight as well. Just trying to to get an idea of what your body composition is. Thanks

Kato, I am currently in a free week trial at the gym. Everything seems to be cool with it except the pool time. I am at work by 7 AM and get off at 4 PM. Yesterday I went over after work and the pool was packed. I asked one of the guys when is the best time to get in the pool and not have classes going on or otherwise packed? He said they open at 6AM and generally it's free then then get's pretty heavy use from 8 AM till 11 AM and again from around 3 PM till 8 PM.

I looked into some of the elliptical equipment and they do have some so I will be trying some of them out. Didn't get to talk with the nutritionist but hope to catch her tomorrow.

There is another gym further into town that I will be checking out as well and looking into pool availability.

I guess you could say I am still on the phone Kato but am on hold.
