absolutely...

curbs appetite like crazy
increases resting metabolism
increases energy, so you can work out longer/harder and not feel so low in energy from the diet
has some anti inflammation and pain killing properties...

but yeah, no way he'd consider it

I am counting calories with this new diet thing. I looked online today at calorie counters and I found one for fast food. I was going to Hardies' every morning since forever and getting my favorite biscuit. I called it my cardiac breakfast as a joke because it was egg, bacon, sausage and cheese. I would order just the biscuit no tots or anything else. Turns out there is more calories in that one biscuit than I consume all day now.

Kato, I haven't cut it out all together yet (maybe eventually) but I have reduced the Diet Coke from 8-12 per day to 3-6 per day. Still probably too many but it's a start.

I allow myself 300 calories for breakfast in the form of frozen cardboard disguised as eggs, peppers, imitation sausage or bacon and simulated cheese. A snack is allowed between breakfast and lunch in the form of an apple or a few baby carrots. Then I allow myself 300-350 calories for lunch in the form of a 6-inch turkey on wheat with mustard from Subway or a frozen cardboard meal from Lean Cu sine, Smart One or Healthy Choice. I allow myself a snack between lunch and dinner in the form of an apple or a few baby carrots. Then I repeat my lunch routine for dinner with no snack allowed after that.

I'm primarily focusing on caloric intake but watch the carbs and saturated fats as well. I stay under 1200 calories max perday and keep it closer to 1000. Some exercise involved and hopefully that will increase and intensify as some weight starts coming off.

Teela and Nina, your countdown clocks have begun.
