People overthere have long standing issues with each other. Mostly because of their proximety. Its easy to insite secterian hatred. Its hard to live in peace. The west doesnt care about ukraine and despise russia. But its funny to see how weakly the usA apparently expects russi to behave. Certainly nothing near an equal. They"re actully accusing russia of agression with a straight face.

Having an official language at the government level does not mean that you can harangue Mexicans for speaking their native language. Nor does it mean that you can ban Spanish-language schools (Quebec has English schools.)

You are a racist and a bigot just for posting that.

Anyone living in the South who can't bother to learn a bit of Spanish is a bit of a 'tard to be honest. It's right there in your face.

I realize that English is your second language so I will forgive you to assuming more to my statement that there was. All I pointed out was that anyone in the US is accused of being racist and a bigot IF they try to assert that English is/should be considered the primary language. Nothing more or less than that. But hey...if it makes you feel better to go off on a simple statement, then knock your socks off, asshat.

have to forgive matty for his overcanadian moment...being walked all over and told what to do is the canadian way... you sneak over hereand want to fit in, at least a little, learn some english, mother fuckers  ... just because its not the national language, doesnt mean we are going to conform... that being said, spanish has been taught in schools for decades... you are kind of a dumbass if you dont know the very basics  ... but ive never seen or heard of what nina is talking about... the consensus is if you sneak your ass over here, YOU learn to fit in...

Despite what Reno would have us believe is aggression in the Middle East there is a distinct difference between US actions there and Russian actions in Crimean Peninsula.

To this day, the United States remains the only superpower capable, and at times willing, to commit real resources and make real sacrifices to build, sustain, and drive an international system committed to international law, democracy, and the promotion of human rights. Experience teaches that when the United States leads on human rights, from Nuremberg to Kosovo, other countries follow.

In 1938, Germany occupied half of Czechoslovakia because there were Germans living there. The international community did not oppose it. Germany became stronger, and launched a world-wide war. 2014, Russia occupied part of Ukraine to "protect its citizens". This will end one of two ways: the international community works together to expel Russia from Ukraine (by diplomacy, or military). Or, Russia will pluck another target later.

Yeah, the difference is russia medles primarily around its borders where it actually has a security stake. And the usa meddles everywhere around the world where they can expand martkets and exploit people for the enrichment of their business elite. Im sure russia will follow this example soon, and this is what us elites probAbly find most offensive.

Nah. Nope. Not true. Opposite is true.

Yet its the US that are largely funding the coup...

Kerry's even offered the Ukranian interim government 1 billion in financial support.

Who does that unless there's something in it for them??

Russia really cant lose here. If Obama were to impose sanctions then Putin can simpy turn off the gas supplies to half of europe.

there are so many things wrong with this quote that addressing it seems beneath anybody with a rudimentary knowledge of anything.

That would be devastating for him as well, a big hit to the Russian economy. And one thing is to use that weapon going into the Winter and another going into Spring, that gives Europe ample time to ramp up imports from other sources. So it might not be a good card to play.

Anyway, from whatever sanctions they come up with the City of London banking mafia wants exemption from it. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/mar/03/uk-seeks-russia-harm-city-london-document

On a side note I heard on that 1 billion, most of that money would go to debt and Ukraine's biggest creditor is Russia, so most would be going straight to Putin.
