What does that have to do with anything? A majority of countries have only one official language. For one thing, it simplifies communications at the institutional level.

Just because majority of countries have one official language does not mean it works for all. That means marginalization of speakers of Russian and other languages. How will a Russian speaker make a simple application to an official? Even European parliament has opposed this move.

Ask those from Quebec who do not speak English how they would cope if French is abolished?

lol

The minority in Quebec is English. English is already "abolished" as an official language there - French is the only official language.

Ask Anglo-Quebecers how they cope. They'll just shrug and/or mutter insults under their breath. They routinely complain and vaguely threaten to leave, but the truth is that they identify with French Quebec culture more than they do with the faceless Canadian non-culture.

Switzerland. They have 3 official languages.
Belgium. They have 2 official languages.

I see this as a big problem. For example in Crimea where all the fuss is about only 15% are Ukrainians. So the 85% percent will be forced to be speaking what the 15% speaks.

We get called racists and bigots for wanting to speak one language.

Having an official language at the government level does not mean that you can harangue Mexicans for speaking their native language. Nor does it mean that you can ban Spanish-language schools (Quebec has English schools.)

You are a racist and a bigot just for posting that.

Anyone living in the South who can't bother to learn a bit of Spanish is a bit of a 'tard to be honest. It's right there in your face.
