I have been watching season 3 of Californication and I have 2 comments.

1) The show has gone way downhill. I remember liking season 1 quite a bit - then season 2 things started descending into shtick but it was still watchable - but now I'm not even sure I will bother watching to the end of season 3. Hank still has some funny quippy lines, but the plotlines are so weak and unrealistic. Plus the daughter is becoming more prominent in the narrative - and I hate to pick on a kid - but the girl that plays her can't act to save her life. She makes Miley Cyrus look like Meryl Streep.

2) OMFG Kathleen Turner is a trainwreck.

The squirter scene was the best in the history of the show imo.

The daughter annoys me.

It starts again in January right?
 
I don't know when it starts and ends in real time. As with many shows, I just grab the DVD's when I notice there's a new season I haven't seen yet.


Man o man, I used to think Kathleen Turner was so hot once upon a time. Crimes of Passion, Body Heat.

If someone had've said, "Excuse me Muddy, that is a man," I would have said they were out of their mind. But lo and behold . . .

Yeah she is brutal. I like how she plays off of it in the show and is always making the sex in the city guy her bitch. Shit cracks me up.

Hope this is the appropriate thread for this, but looking at the list of threads on the board today, this keeps coming up in the monkey's head! :spinner:

Herman and Bread seem to have a bond going on that screams biological. Should Herman be starting a AMBy like thread entitled, "Am I related to Bread?" :dunno:

So then if it is grandfathered in, Herman is GL baby #1, Durito's baby #2, CobraK #3, McB #4? :yipee::yipee::yipee:

Look at the threads, Gamelive baby, related to the X's, Fiver with a long lost kid of Tom Hanks, our daily Bread. This isn't random stuff going on, we are not alone, God is here at work! :bowdown:

Poor Rubyn, I just had a visual of her suckling baby Herman. :redx:
 
I'm probably the only one but, I think muscle twitches feel cool.

I was listening to a Radio Lab....no, it was a BBC documentary about how the brain works. One sections was about this lady who had her arm amputated in an accident twenty years prior to the interview. She didn't just have phantom limb syndrome, her brain didn't ever register that the arm was gone. She said that sometimes, while sewing the non existent arm would try to help with the sewing and it would really mess with her. Sometimes it would just do things on it's own and "embarrass her". One of the examples she gave was, when she was walking down the street and saw someone she knew, the phantom arm shot up in the air and started waving excitedly to get the person's attention.
