i dont have any concerns, but i just stream the shows instead of dl from pb anyways...its just faster... not that im worried about anything but i just dont have a need to dl... i would only dl if i needed to keep the show/movie for a while or hook the computer to someone elses tv to watch

maybe you should do it a few times muddy...just to feel like a badass outlaw living on the edge :rideem:

I wonder what's up with this movie Gangster Squad. It's got a couple of top guys in Sean Penn and Ryan Gosling. Emma Stone is in there. People like her. Quite a few respectable names in support. I assume it's got gangsters. People like those.

But the timing of the release makes me think something must have gone seriously wrong.
If I remember correctly, it was due out right around the Colorado movie theater shooting but was pushed back because there's some type of shootout in a theater depicted in the film.

Oh yeah that thing about the theatre-shooting sensitivity rings a bell.

Well that's not so bad then. I was thinking more like they had Oscar aspirations when they started, but ended up with a dog's breakfast and said fuck it - release it in the new year. Which happens. But no, I'm buying the theater shooting angle.

Man on a Ledge seemed like it might have too much looking at things from heights action for my taste. When I was a kid I was a little daredevil who would climb just about anything and didn't give a shit - but now ----> don't like heights.

Man o man, I wasn't kidding. I am currently watching The Guns of Navarone and there is an extended cliff-climbing scene.

I'm not happy.

Well okay so . . .

The Guns of Navarone (1961) - very good old war movie and Best Picture nominee.

Excellent simple premise, good characters, plot executed without a ton of impossible contrivances which I usually expect from movies of that era. Okay there were a couple scenes that stretched credulity but overall: good. There were some clever plot elements.

Also some good ass-kicking and explosions and honest-to-god ruthlessness in a way that demonstrated to me one way the rules of movies have changed, not for the better. i.e. - the lead played by Gregory Peck was allowed his ruthlessness at times, whereas today I couldn't help but think a few details would have been softened up. But fuck that - it's the middle of WWII and that's the way he has gotten.

Good. 7.6 out of 10.

We watched the dumbest movie the other night that we flipped off, neither of us can remember the name of the movie but it was something about high school girls and they had killed their friend and pretended it was a suicide, fake note and all. The victim's ghost comes back and curses the girls by making them grow old really quick. Three hilarious visuals I can't get out of my head - girl diving for a volleyball and basically crapping her pants, girl in line at grocery store and pissing herself in front of everyone, girl talking on phone in huge diaper.

Whatever it was 3 Camibewbs overall and 9 on the visuals

Has to be one of the worst movies I have ever, EVER seen. I tried to google it, with descriptions of what happened, all that came up was a lot of diaper porn. I guess it's quite the fetish. I don't get it, but hey, whatever tickles your pickle.

muddy, i ran across this dvdrip...dunno if you have seen but thought you would enjoy..

One thing that caught my eye recently is a new movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe called Broken City. Not that the movie itself has grabbed me - I have no idea about it - but I noticed that Wahlberg is being consistently billed above Crowe in the ads.

I certainly remember a time not so long ago that would not have happened, no way. Seems like Crowe stock is slipping.
