Oscar nominations are out. Once upon a time I would have seen all these and been entitled to an opinion but not any more. Seen very few. Still have plenny opinions of course but all with stupid reasons.

All five guys already have Oscars. Based on scuttlebutt and vague impressions, I say Tommy Lee Jones.

Michael Phillips is saying he (Jones) should win but Deniro will.
 
Those are notable absences of Ben Affleck and Kathryn Bigelow from the Best Director category.

Probably doesn't bode well for Argo and Zero Dark Thirty for Best Picture. Some peeps in the academy were obviously not gaga over the presentations.

I would not be placing wagers on those flicks.
