Easy Rider (1969) - Not at all what I was expecting. I knew it was about counterculture, but I expected it to be about biker culture more than the outcast/hippie/communal lifestyle. I guess they were one and the same before Harley-Davidson's marketing people built that badass biker image.

It's hard to overlook the primitive acting, but the movie is saved by its epic soundtrack, by Jack Nicholson being Jack Nicholson and by the hysterical acid trip at the end.

Would not watch again.

BTW the only reason I watched it is that a friend bought us this t-shirt for Jean-Louis:

I've seen this flick a few times in the last week on the local Detroit movie channel, features the Fonz and Rocky Balboa!

PS: Matty, I think Tron loved/loves Tron.

PPS: As long as he calls himself "Tron" I don't think I will be able to refrain from breaking his Italian-American balls every chance I get.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)

More fleshed out than the original. It explores timeless themes like the teenage love triangle, teenage suspicion towards The System, and the good old alarmist dystopian future very dear to sci-fi authors' livelihood.

Effective for what it is.

I'd put my penis inside Jennifer Lawrence. Yes I would.
