Okay, so, Season 8 and series finale of Dexter tonight.

My expectations are so extremely low. No illusions that they could pull a pleasantly interesting surprise out of the bag. Let's just end this.

I'm relieved more than anything.

I love Dexter and continue to even though it doesn't compare to what it was.

Life is in large part about things to look forward too and I will really miss looking forward to Dex. I agree it peaked early.

The first few seasons of Dexter, I watched with a hunger. I watched them on DVD and watched entire seasons in like 3-4 days.

I knew it wasn't on par with something like The Sopranos but it was a fun, fun ride.

I wonder if it has gotten that much worse or it was always basically the same but now it is just beaten to death.

I have to believe those first seasons were just much better. I have to believe that.



I imagine someday, a few years from now, I will take a look at season 1 again and get my answer for sure.

It does feel beaten to death but man they should keep it going until they aren't getting the views - which I doubt would ever happen.

That was last good season imo.

I don't remember the last time Dexter killed someone. Has he killed anyone this season?

lolz..typical over hyping gives an emmy to a broad who is nowhere near a top 50 female actress on drama tv... more of a reason for me to be over this show and the awful last season it came with...

I'd seriously rather watch Miley Cyrus sing "Wrecking Ball" over and over and over again than watch one more episode of Dexter.

I watched the first season or two and then am not sure what happened. I'm going to start again with season 1 I think. Awesome show.

It was a dog's breakfast of the most bizarre kind. Scene after scene of actions with consequences that bore no resemblance to the real world. Sporadic blood and violence confusingly mixed with a heavy chick-flic undertone.

Wow. The fuck man. Mercifully it's over.
