Some older movies given a refreshed viewing in the last little bit:
The Player (1992) - Can't believe it has been out 20 years. Anyway, one of Robert Altman's best IMO. It was followed more-or-less immediately by another great one, Short Cuts, so it was a very fertile creative time for Altman. I love The Player. It is a funny, thoughtful, cameo-fest and a rare case of Altman actually giving a shit about commercial film-making values, even if only satirically (but sort of sincerely too). It works. 8 out of 10
The Wall (1982) - Pink Floyd was my favorite band from the time I was 15 until . . . well, they're still right up there. Big Pink Floyd fan. I had not seen The Wall in ages nor had I heard the record so it was good to reconnect.
I enjoy this movie but do not find it outstanding. I had forgotten how laden it is in mommy/daddy issues which I am not as interested in exploring as this movie. While I love lots of the music, I did not like how they chose to chop/butcher a few songs. But overall it's an interesting, if somewhat garbled, artistic vision. And, though I place the Wall below many other things Pink Floyd has done musically, I still do love lots of the music.

Sweet Charity (1969) - Enjoyed it thoroughly. Great performance by Shirley MacLaine and many classic song/dance numbers. The Bob Fosse choreography is outstanding (if you're into that sort of thing - which I am). 7 out of 10.
This Fosse clip, I love. I've watched it about 13 times since seeing the movie. So many odd looks and angles all thrown together harmoniously. If Fosse had not been a choreographer, he should have been an architect:
