Just goes to show - different perceptions. I would have described Roger's role in this episode as something along the lines of: got lost on his way to an Adam Sandler movie.

Other than that, I enjoyed the episode - except for the representation of Don's drug experience - and the Jewish guy's series of freakouts seemed very forced and unnatural - as did elements of Peggy's reactions in/to the Avon meeting - okay maybe I didn't love the episode.

I wonder if they will get the Avon business. I find that interesting.

If you want to watch a bizarre wtf was that flick watch Killer Joe. Very dark gruesome comedy film. I've always been indifferent when it comes to Matthew McConaughey but he did an unreal job playing a psycho murderer in this. Emile Hirsch is solid as usual, just a crazy flick. 7.5 Bacons.

Totally agree. Just a fucking weird movie. Good, but fucked the fok up. Slightly disturbing even. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch this movie again, but if I came across it flippin through the channels I would watch it again. Solid acting job by all. Every time I see Thomas Haden Church I can't help but think of that old school show Wings. I liked that show.

The Les Miz movie is not insanely long in the grand scheme of things. I mean it's not short - it's like 2 1/2 hours. Whatever - I can see how it would seem to drag.

Even as an aficionado, I fast-forwarded through several bits on my 2nd viewing. I can't see myself ever watching it without fast forwarding through major chunks.

I probably wouldn't if they hadn't adapted it the way the did. If they had focused on casting singers rather than names and produced every song to its fullest, I would probably love every second. But they did what they did and it can't be changed now.

Arrested Development - Season 4 - Loved it. Many laughs - some of the howling variety. There was one bit I saw yesterday - I can't remember the last time a TV show made me laugh that hard and long.

There are some lulls. It is a show which by nature throws a lot of spaghetti at the wall. Not everything sticks. But overall I consider the comeback a rousing success.

So I guess this is the last week John Stewart is on The Daily Show for awhile. Glad they have John Oliver replacing him in the main chair. Seems like the right choice to me.

As previously announced, Jon Stewart is taking a break from The Daily Show beginning on June 10 to direct Rosewater, his adaptation of Iranian Canadian journalist Maziar Baharis memoir Then They Came For Me. Baharis book deals with his coverage of Irans disputed 2009 election and his subsequent imprisonment by the Iranian government, which used Baharis appearance on The Daily Show as evidence of his supposed espionage. According to The Wrap, Stewart has now reportedly cast Gael Garcia Bernalwho recently ran afoul of another oppressive regime in Noin the starring role. Bernals character, much like the real Bahari, winds up spending 118 days in a notorious Iranian prison where he is brutally interrogated by a man whose defining characteristic is the smell of rosewater.
