Meanwhile I have to say, Nurse Jackie is seriously floundering this season IMO. I am declaring that it has run its course.

The character Zoey remains a great character, and I almost want to say give her a show, but no, she is the quintessential supporting character. I feel sure a Zoey spin-off would take that breath-of-fresh-air effect and turn it into a big fart.

Not that I would put it past TV people to do that, but I'm saying no.

I have never found any kind of special wow factor with Jessica Biel.

I guess it's the face. Face is really important to me and in the subjective world of face evaluation, hers is not doing it for me.

Could be the mouth.

I guess I rate her a 7. I haven't seen her for a long time but she had a good body as I recall. I might like to go lower just for effect and to stir up controversy but realistically, 7.

Dexter season 8 is coming up next month. June 30th is the announced date. So gentlemen start your engines (for bashing - because that's what Dexter has become on the forum - a bashing thing. We watch and we bash. Not that it hasn't deserved it. And I'm not excluding myself from the somewhat irrational behavior because I'm right in the middle of it, both the watching and bashing. Not that I don't hope things improve with the new season. I do. But I suppose my hopes are low and I am expecting a continuation of the bashing.)

So start your engines for, you know, that.

An added note about Dexter: I was living under the full assumption that the coming season was the last but apparently that's not definite and there is a real chance of a season 9.

Some people from the show said before it is ending but the Showtime entertainment president seems to be muddying those waters with a refusal to confirm.

They say the The Newsroom is coming back July 14th (which is a Sunday FWIW).

I will start out watching but I have serious doubts I will be sticking with it. I had an initial infatuation with it but the more I think back on the totality of season 1, the more I kind of want to headbutt Aaron Sorkin.

But we shall see.

It does seem like a quick turnaround for Dexter - particularly compared to some shows.

Frickin Veep needed like 10 months to come up with 10 new half hour episodes.

The only tv shows I seem to like these days are nature shows or documentaries because they fascinate me.

Drama/Fiction is too predictable.

Dexter did jump the shark, sadly. I liked it early on.

Most shows should stop after season 2 or 3. Fingers crossed that season 4 of Boardwalk is still good.
