Looked it up. I did not remember that Quincy started there. That probably ended up being my favorite of the lot. Although I recall being hot for Susan St. James who was "Wife" in McMillan and Wife. She was pretty groovy.

This is the complete list of shows:

Amy Prentiss
Banacek
Columbo
Cool Million
Faraday & Company
Hec Ramsey
Lanigan's Rabbi
Madigan
McCloud
McCoy
McMillan & Wife
Quincy, M.E.
The Snoop Sisters
Tenafly

Rock Hudson being totally not gay at all with his groovy TV wife:

Premium Rush (2012) - this is a reasonably fun, fast-paced, stylish movie. It does not break any new ground in terms of story-telling - just the opposite, the plot points feel like they were randomly chosen from a list of conventions by South Park manatees and then tied up in a neat little bow of cliche. But it doesn't matter. We're not gunning for any Oscars here. It is the right length - 90 minutes - and it moves. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is good and it's always kinda fun to have Michael Shannon around.

6.9 out of 10.

12 Monkeys is on the top all-time movies list at imdb. #178.

That surprised me. I rewatched it and was thinking, ehhh, about a six. Pretty good for Terry Gilliam. Brad Pitt is terrible. About a six.

While I am not always in step with the world around me, I can often guess reactions. People get gaga over time travel even if it is always the same stuff. I think it makes people feel smart. I was sure the overall rating would be higher than me but I couldn't see anyone getting really carried away.

Wrong. One of the best movies of all time. :dunno:

I liked premium Rush, though I don't know that it is one I would seek out to watch again. Watched a few different movies this weekend, don't remember the names of any of them, all I know is there was nothing better on tv and it passed the time.

I wonder what was going on with dudeguy and chicky-poo on last night's Mad Men. I wonder if that is going somewhere or it was just one of those slice of life things they like to show from time to time.

The latter, I'm guessing.

Meanwhile, hey Pete Campbell, overcompensate much? Asshat.

I remember not-so-long-ago when I used VHS to record programming I would get a lot of smartypants comments from people congratulating themselves for using PVR (DVR ??? :clueless:). Maybe TIVO?? All that shit. Anyway, they talked like it's a black and white issue.

Having now used PVR/DVR for a good length of time, I understand that those people are full of shit.

It is certainly less effort. The amount of time/effort saved is small but it's there. It is lazy-friendly.

But I am not a particularly lazy person and as for the job it does, I have gotten to the point where I would honestly rather use VHS. I still have my VHS and tried to see if it could be used the other day. I can play tapes but I couldn't figure out how to make it record with my current set-up. So I guess I'm sticking with my DVR.

But I see you knobs out there.

Something I am extremely unlikely to see: the newest version of The Great Gatsby.

Unless someone I trust - make that 3 people - say something to me like: yes, I understand that Baz Luhrmann has been completely, painfully horrible and there have been few things in the history of mankind as unforgivably pathetic as Moulin Rouge, but somehow Gatsby works - I will be skipping it.
