I wonder how much of the setup was based on the notion values of real estate would keep rising. I guess the bankers don't mind defaulting loans as long as value rises. But obviously these people are smart enough to realize whats likely to happen hence they start betting the other side.
Kind of a shame the way the system works, these seemingly unimpressive people get to play with so much. Fuckers wouldn't last in a casino:whipped:

I watched Les Miserables (movie) again. I liked it less than the first time. Apart from still considering Russell Crowe a spectacular failure, I had less tolerance for Anne Hathaway. I believe I originally characterized Hugh Jackman's singing in the lead role as adequate. It was actually a little less than that. The guy playing Marius had some annoying affectations that I didn't notice the first time. I still hate the presentation of The Thenardiers - and I became more aware of other heavy-handedness in the direction.


Still a wonderful story and possibly the best score ever in a musical - I can't drop my rating below 7 - but they really kinda blew it.
 
couple new shows hit tv the last few weeks....both very enjoyable

do no harm... neurosurgeon who is the modern day jekyll/hide...
