this is what i don't understand. some of this stuff was reported to the cops and not a damn thing happened.

if there's evidence that paterno really was the lead dog in the pack that covered this up, then he should be held criminally liable. same thing for any worthless parent that took payola to settle instead of pressing on with criminal charges.

but where were the law enforcement officials in all of this the past 9-15 years, or however long it was going on? where was the outrage from the parents whose children were abused?

As someone who graduated from college and spent several years in a small college town I can tell you that the campus police is nothing close to a big city police. They would turn a blind eye if student athletes or coaches break the law.

BB was talking about the real police Pavy, not just campus police had this story 13 years ago

I'm not sure. I assume it will all come out in time as the investigation unfolds. But I believe that jopa's moral obligations supersede his legal obligations in this particular case. Assuming he knew what was going on and from reading the GJ report it sounds like he knew enough. I think he did just enough to not get into legal trouble but not near enough considering what was going on. .02

exactly

Like I said before, do you think Joe would have done MORE, if somehow Sandusky was preventing Joe's team from performing as well?
like inviting them over to his house to get high, and Joe found out?

you better believe he would have called down all Holy Thunderdome on Sandusky's ass..personally, university wise, law wise, ect... I really think it was an issue of priorities. As good as a human as i've been told Joe is, after close to 50 years of being State College Jesus, his inner moral compass get way fucked up.

good job, 5'er, turn it into another ignorant comment confusing character with geography.

good thing this would never happen in canada: http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/canada/100413/catholic-church-sex-scandal

BB, don't be so sensitive (even though GL does bring out this side in everyone) America is fuked up and your statement IMO refers to a global situation with the Catholic church!

Plus TEXAS isn't part of the US anyway! You guys down there are sensitive tough!

DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!!!
