NCAA is free minor leagues for hoops and football. You wanna be a pro QB
,Lineman, LB ECT you'd still HAVE to go to college first. 99.9999999 percent of 18 year old football studs would never come close to be among an nfl 53 man roster

In soccer, basketball, hockey and baseball you don't have to go to college to play pro sports. You can develop football players directly from drafting high school kids. Then the current college coaches would be hired by NFL teams to develop these players in scrimmages with established pros.

nope

you could do it, but who would want to, other than a few thousand really good 18 year old players?

would make a lot less money than the NCAA already makes

and why would NFL agree to this?

they already get 2-5 years of free development from colleges. they don't pay coaches they pay players they don't pay for facilities and why draft and sign a player for money at 18 when there is a good chance that he might get injured, put in jail, or just plain suck.

maybe 2-3 18 year olds on the planet have the body size, strength, maturity and football skills to not get seriously injured in a scrimmage with NFL players

otherwise, I think you are onto something..

write it up as a draft and submit it to the NCAA i'm sure they'd have no problem stepping aside and giving up their football revenues in order to do the smart thing and let the NFL start a minor league systme! :goodforyou:

I don't want to change the way it is right now with players being students and not getting paid. Why would I send a letter to the NCAA to change something I like the way it is now?

But if you start paying college players then you should allow HS kids to enter the NFL directly without having to go through college. This is what I meant.

I'm saying there may have been less than 5 guys at the age of 18 that were ready for NFL football in the history of the world!!!!

but sure, when they start paying student athletes over the table, lets open up the draft rule too

I LOLed when hearing about Kiffin going after Silas.
guy continues to show his classy side.:eyes: biggest fokin douche to ever be associated with NCAAF
it did seem like most of coaches interviewed that I saw did show class and state they wouldnt go after any players...

Archie, not long till church starts:megaman:
I will continue to support NCAAF, dont give a shit bout all the politics behind it.
and theres no way possible to come up with a way to pay college players. Most are already paid with a free ride
