I Lol'ed at that.

I started this thread last night after watching Nathan blow yet another save after his Tigers came back down from a 2-0 deficit in the top of the 9th to take a 3-2 lead and blow it in the bottom of the inning due to walks.

The game winning pitcher was a closer who gave up 3 runs in the 9th, blew the save but got the win.


nice for him, bad for plommer.

It's 1 stat. A stat that no one used until fairly recently and as far as I know isn't used in determining Hall of Fame status. If you can give me the Hall of Famer that made it in because he's really good at compiling walks then go ahead.
 
both Ryne and Joe in the hall of fame, so i'm not quite sure what the gripe about stats and who is better.

Joe Morgan sucks to me bacause of his post playing career time on tv and basic buffonary
 
the article i posted has every stat you could possibly want... i had no idea that a guy , who loves bb as much as you, could be so blind as to the ongoing decline in both baseball attendance and tv ratings... but oh well... also, im not real sure what i said that made you think i was making an insult, but if asking what planet you were on, in this case, is really an insult, then i apologize :reallyfuckingthinskin:

The game wasn't played with sabermetrics in mind back then. I'm sure the Billy Beanheads wouldn't like the 70's pirates as many of them were 1st pitch fastball hitters. Fitting as Rennie Stennett 29 years ago yesterday went 7-7 vs the Cubs.
 
Possibly Coco Crisp. I was so excited when he came to Boston, and he was horseshit. He missed that catch to eliminate us too. Oh, he missed that fucking catch.
