Lol. Ryan Howard's contract says "hi".

Jello, Archie pays attention and remembers a previous post where I rationally and unequvocally proved my superior position in why Ryan got that contract and deserved it!

You one of the few posters here you have my number so if need be it call me and I will talk you through the difficult times you are experiencing! Eagles are on now, few domestic things to follow, and then the Phillies tonight so make it tomorrow at the earliest!

You saw where I stated earlier I love you! Pay attention!

Series tied 1-1! The Cards didn't score the most runs in the NL for nothing while also having the best team AVG, OBP, and SLG%! The Phils got 4 runs which should have been enough but Lee couldn't match what Halladay did the night before!

Tony L was the genius last night using his BP superbly and possibly Charlie M should have pulled Lee before the 7th when he had 100+ pitch count! Probably be a close game 3 on Tuesday and the Phils need to come up with a timely hit or two or they won't win nor deserve to!

Blanton and Raul are not far from AJ and Carl territory

Archie, I will debate this point and turn it into ashes like a cremated corpse!

Raul received a 3 yr 31.5 mil contract! Guy in that time averaged 23.3 HRs, 86.6 RBIs, .264 BA along with 33.3 doubles a year to go along with a good SLG% of .469 and OBP of .329! If you asked me before we signed him if he got us these numbers would I think he earned his money, I say YES!

Carl got 7 yr 142 mil contract! I like Carl Crawford alot and think in will get better for him but that last dog of a play in LF summed up his subpar year! No need to give you the stat numbers! Archie, Boston expected more him! Big difference I would say between 10 and 20 mil a year and expected return and given return! Raul is a great character guy too!

Joe Blanton, guy isn't a POS just seems like a lazy ass who needs to work on his game between starts! Guy got 24 mil over 3 yrs isnt which at 8 mil a year isn't outrageous but the Phillies for sure didn't get their moneys worth! Still has 1 year left on deal so maybe we get something out of him but Phils no doubt will try to peddle him to somebody! Is Ed Wade still the GM of the Astros?

AJ Burnett, the best for last! A contract that averages 16.5 mil a year! 82.5 mil over 5 years! Yikes! Guy so far in 3 years as a Yank has 34-35 record with 4.79 ERA. Given up 27 HRs a year! Has a 1.45 WHIP over that period!

One good thing is he has taken the ball to pitch every 5 days if you consider that a good thing! No need to discuss his emotional side! He does have 2 year left on that deal to make good! By the way, Blanton in his 2 years with the Phils has 4.87 ERA along with a 1.45 WHIP also! Only big difference here seems to be in the amount of money paid to each player!

I went about this post just like my good buddy MonkeyFocker would have! Just the numbers mixed with logic! I feel like a pro!

Archie my friend, remember my friend nothing personal here, it's just business!

Anybody remember Eating Rauol? I watched it!

It's a nice sunny, comfortable morning outside in Phillyland! And it should be after last night!

Phillies win nailbiter 3-2 with Cole Hamels gutting it out with 6 innings of 117 pitch shutout ball! That and one timely hit by Bennie Fresh!

Cards played it perfectly by working Hamels tough so they could get to the Phillies shaky BP! The Good Guys of course helped Garcia (who pitched great) by not being a little more patient! A win is a win though and now up 2-1 in the series!

Liking the Phils chances with Oswalt tonight! Guy seems to be completely healthy with his rising FB up to 94 MPH of late! Hopefully be the Roy with the Astros of yesteryear! Edwin Jackson throws hard too but if the slider ain't working expect him to get hit enough to produce some runs!

One more look!

and i'm not cool with paying 12+ million to a dude with a .707 OPS.

reminds me too much of the Jason Kendall era in pittsburgh.... but at least that guy could play defense and wasn't a corner OF hitting like a shortstop
