Need IMO for Rollins and Victorino to really start hitting!

Yes and a no so far!

Next 18 games crucial! If they can go 12-6 can get to 1 game above .500! Other than Papolbon the bullpen is a mess so probably won't happen ........home for awhile and then big set of 3 series against the Fish, Mets, and Braves! We shall see where this goes!

Don't know the specifics but some kind of MLB rule!

you gotta a link to that? what if he is still injured? is that a date for when they can collect insurance on him maybe?

I remember many years ago the Pirates signed a guy named Pat Meares, and he signed as a free agent and had a decent year.

then had a crippling hand/wrist injury in spring training I think, so cam bonifay in his infinite pirate wisdom decided to sign him to a 3 year contract extension while he was on the disabled list. He never recovered use of all his fingers after a surgery and they flushed about 10 million away. But at a certain date when he didn't return they were able to collect some of his $ back from insurance somehow.

i'm sure I got some of the details wrong

Here's what I have!

Major League Baseball rules require teams to activate players on a rehab assignment after no more than 20 days, meaning Utley would be back in the lineup by July 2 at the latest, barring any setbacks. Of course, Utley could be back even sooner than that.

Utley played 8 innings at 2nd for Clearwater A team last night!

oh got it.... that does make sense, never knew that had that rule. I guess maybe the Phils shoulda waited until he could play full games to leave extended spring training.

but I know that short season A and rookie ball started as well as DSL so maybe extended spring training is over...

Big Jim Thome HUGH homer last night

4 hr's in his last 20 ab's or so

Thome picked up Paps big time! Luck might be going the Phils way finally! The guy below had a big homer too!

He's my Wilson Valdez, Chris Coste of this team for 2012! Luv me some Juan! Plays smart knowing his limitations who does the little things to help his team win!

Damn you Cliff Lee. First time I've had to bet on him all year and he is laying an egg. Have profited on the line moves against him all year, but the line necessitated a chalky bet on his side tonight. Going to be up to the offense to get him out of the jam tonight.

1. Jimmy Rollins (S) SS
2. Juan Pierre (L) LF
3. Chase Utley (L) 2B
4. Carlos Ruiz (R) C
5. Hunter Pence (R) RF
6. Shane Victorino (S) CF
7. Ty Wigginton (R) 1B
8. Mike Fontenot (L) 3B
9. Raul Valdes (L) P

Back in the lineup tonight! Wait to see how his offense goes but Utley said he's feeling lot stronger physically this year than last! Can't be worse than players that have been at 2nd so far this year ....... the Phillies rank 12th out of 16 NL teams in average, 13th in OPS, and last in runs scored. Phillies second basemen have drawn just 10 walks.

this is awesome!

but maybe bad timing...

with CC and Petite out for the Yanks.... the seller's market just increased ALOT.

if I'm the phils GM I was on the phone with the yanks right after Pettite fucked up his ankle and i'm asking for the world and $ and BJ's for my starting pitching....

PHILS WS in 2014-2018 drum beat!!!!
