That table is more condensed then what I have seen. There are a lot of reports and studies at different grade levels and such. Amazing to see how the Hispanic kids start behind in grade 1-3 then catch and eventually pass them. As I said. Overcoming a language barrier with a stronger family core and values....Those are what push a child. Also I am seeing states that have lower testing standards for both black and Hispanic students. IE....Tyrone and Lupe need a 65 to pass but Tom, Dick and Harry need a 70.

That is an excellent point. Bilingualism in general is a huge advantage. So yes, the Hispanic situation is probably better on paper because of the tendency for them to know more than one language.

Who said anything about Bilingualism. My wife just conducted student teacher conferences with a translator. On the back of my kids school forms is a Spanish equivalent...You make a phone call around here you are prompted to press 1 for English. Again..Perhaps you know less then you think you know about what is going on in a country you don't live in.
