I'd say Verlander has had a way better year compared to Halladay

hadn't noticed how many games either of them won. I'da thought Halladay woulda won more with the phils


Verlander's % of strikes pitched to same handed batters with a man on and less than 2 outs in an away park during the day Babip is like .425 which is extremely unlucky

which kind of points to the fact that he is a better pitcher than even the nunmbers show.....

plus he is set a few records this year for striking out hitters with a fastball on 1-2 counts after a foul ball on an off speed pitch.

which means he really is pretty focking overpowering

There is very little between them, Sabathia has a BABIP around 30 points higher than his career while Verlander has one 50 points lower which makes his ESPN stats a lot better. Verlander will get the Cy Young nod on the basis of his wins and ERA.

I think TB and LAA are doing their best to help BOS (they are 4-6, 5-5 and 3-7 respectively in their last 10 games). Having said that, a three way tie for the wild card would be pretty special.
