Another lesson for the day: shooting hoops is not like riding a bike.

Just went out to shoot some hoops for the first time this year - it was pretty pathetic. Definitely not a case of picking up where I left off last time I was shooting. By the end of the session I was in better shape than at the start, but still nowhere near up to standard.

My hoops shooting was like I went to ride my bike and I kept trying to put my feet under the pedals instead of on top and the only way I could stop was to drive into a fence.

I am having a problem with my Brita water filtration system. You are supposed to replace the filter regularly and I think I have waited too long. At first I was getting nice clean fresh water, but then after a year or so it starts to just taste like regular tap water. Now 10 years later, it has only gotten worse. Often there is cloudy brown liquid. One time a plastic toy soldier came out.

I think I will change the filter. Just waiting for them to go on sale.

Muddy are you watching that new show about the coupon clipper's?
Do you regularly buy things that aren't on sale or do you always value purchase?

Knowing Muddy your a helmet on bike riding guy hopefully you were using a mouth guard while shooting hoops especially being with your delicate tooth situation? :greencheck:

I am a pretty good shopper I think. Not to the point where I use coupons - I can't remember ever using a coupon - but I have a good eye for sale tags and a good head for math to compare prices per 100 grams and shit. I stock up on things when there is a good price.

Coupons though - no.

Really? I am more end it all depressed. Like not really but yeah.

What are we gonna do?

Well I ain't ready to make a Bucket List just yet Muddy but I suggest you arrange to meet Cali when she visits Toronto. She would do little to make me less bored but there is some potential she could elivate your mood if only for a moment.

You also may want to avoid drinking brownish, plastic dispensing water.

Actually I haven't been wearing my bike helmet for awhile. The straps got all messed up and I couldn't figure it out and finally I just said fuck it.

Perhaps I should straighten that out at some point.

Whatever.

I really love to buy "kool-aid" type drink mix packets. I'm not picky about what brand. Whatever the store has.

make a 2 litre per day mostly. mix with fake sugar shit.

a growing trend is the disappearance of my favorite flavors. the "blue" flavors. I know that blue is not a flavor, but in these kind of drinks it is...

somtimes its just called blue raspberry, or berry blue, or blue streak or whatever..... but have not been including it in the prepackaged multi-flavor packs of 12 I buy somtimes.

Has the blue been found to cause cancer at a higher rate? or do other people not like to drink blue things as much as me?

and who likes drinking the lime/green shit?

I don't know about Kool-Aid but I get large boxes of Freezie Pops and I count on the blue ones. If there were no blue Freezie Pops I would FREAK.

Why is Texas wasting tax payer dollars debating the need for a law to make it illegal to lie about the size of a fish?

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/12/us/12fish.html?_r=1

Or is the scarier tidbit that The bill passed the Texas Senate unanimously and was expected to be signed by Gov. Rick Perry.

The nation for over four years cant agree to tax online poker but we stand united in a dream about the sizing of fish in bass tournaments.

you make it sound kind of anticlimactic. Impressions? Problems? long term outlook? how'd it go down at first? Like Wally wrote? wet peach and heat and all that.

Yeah what's going on here? I feel like there should be major threads being bumped and extravagant multi-smiley combinations being deployed, not just an indifferent afterthought amidst discussion of coupons and blue Kool-Aid in Random Thoughts.

Is there video?
