Also - and I have probably said this before but I'm saying it again - it is not necessary to hold the door for me.

I suppose if I am almost right behind you, it is okay to kind of open the door all the way - wider perhaps than you might if you were alone. But if I am still some distance away, DO NOT stop to wait, holding the door. Well maybe if you are an attractive female - but anyone else, no.

If you expect me to speed up because I see you there holding the door, you will be disappointed. If anything, I will slow down to punish you for being so gay.

I might even stop and re-tie my shoe. That will be my little gesture.

What? No, god no. I am not the inventor of people-pleasing syndromes. I am perhaps more aware of them than many people as they are such a common topic at addictions recovery meetings, of which I have attended so many.

But holy crap, no - it's not something in my head. Try a google search and see how many millions of hits you get.
 
Yeah but you differentiating between true kindness and that sicking shit in a split second correctly sound dubious. Unless you throw every act to the sicking shit side of things automatically.

People have problems with what you described, of course that is real. But if that is going to annoy me than that is me.

Ugh, that guy held the door way longer than needed, he is so needy and pathetic wanting to be liked. I'm sure. I hope he gets run over by a bus driven by plommer. Ugh!

I much prefer those people's insecurities to most people's sheer laziness. 200 people. 13 doors. One is open. Guess how many people go through the other 12 doors. Me.

And if they aren't being doormats and pathetic sacrificial lambs, they are being obnoxious and bad-mouthing people behind their back and tormenting durito on the road. People are a big bag of suck.

I can get myself through a door. Just carry on with your business and leave me out of it.
