As distracted as I normally am while watching tv, I love Game of Thrones. I think that, if it doesn't catch your attention within the first few episodes, there's no point trying to watch (or like) it.

The third season of Game of Thrones will premier on HBO on March 31st and a day later on Sky Atlantic in the UK.

Matty, I'm predicting fire breathing dragons for you this season!

daffy, i was one of the reluctant ones... i watched maybe 2 eps. of game of thrones and said "fuck this shit" ... then for some reason a few weeks later i started watching again, got caught up and couldnt fuckin wait for the next eps to get here... its got me...i love it now...i dig shows that have a couple different stories going on inside one as well ...

HBO's Real Sports is always a good watch.

They recently did a piece on Rae Carruth, the former NFL player who ordered the murder of his pregnant girlfriend. The sick fuck called the hitman to delay the hit a few hours so that Rae could fuck the girl one last time before he had her killed. Doesn't get more cold-blooded than that.

Silver Linings Playbook (2012) - I guess this has to be classified as a romantic comedy although it is pretty light on the comedy from where I sit. Just a few laughs. It is above average in terms of originality and construction for that type of thing (but that is a pretty low bar).

It's okay. In keeping with my recent pattern of checking out the major Oscar nominees it leaves me saying, "Really? This?" But it's okay.

It garnered nominations for no less than 4 of the actors and not one stood out to me. Just regular competent performances (except Jennifer Lawrence who seems to be improving but is still not a whole actress). I guess maybe I can see Bradley Cooper (whom, if there is any sense in Hollywood, will be crushed by Daniel Day-Lewis anyway). Maybe it's just a slow year for acting.

And movies. Again.

6.9 out of 10 for this.
