I was channel flipping earlier and I saw this beautiful girl who looked really familiar. Had to rack my brain trying to place her but finally came up with it. She is Trudy from Mad Men.

I guess she is on the show Community which I have never seen (except for the 15 seconds I saw today).

Alison Brie is her name. Lovely girl. Wonderful face. Does not appear to be overburdened with comedic talent but very very nice to look at IMO.

That doesn't compute for me at all. I feel like they are leaving out some key detail.

Maybe the truth is more like, the studios rejected it due to the judgement that people today don't have sufficient interest in Liberace - and Soderbergh and crew are framing it this way as a splashy way to at least generate some publicity for the HBO showing.

Too gay doesn't make any sense at all.

Then again I haven't seen it. Maybe it really is massively exceedingly gay.

:dunno:

I tend to agree with your analysis

But I really do hope that it is gay beyond belief

Very entertaining episode of Downton Abbey MrMonkey, was it not?

I am sorry to say Mr. Monkey got kicked out of the bedroom for asking to many questions during the new episode. I just can't believe how he doesn't remember who the characters are and even worst unable to follow the dialogue. Oh well what can I expect it isn't sports.

This was a good episode. The one character I feel sorry for this season is Edith. Mary is only interested in keeping Downton Abbey at any cost. I can see that marriage is in for trouble. Cora seemed to take it well that all her inheritance was lost. I would have wanted to kill him. It is kind of nice to see them have to step down from their pedestal and into the real world.

I will have to start taping (DVR) each episode. Then Mr. Monkey and myself can review them together and I will explain step by step to him what is happening.

Peanut!

In MrM's defense, I was a bit put off that they didn't have a Previously on Downton Abbey bit at the beginning. I feel like shows should always do that at the start of a new season. Why not?

But I didn't have too much trouble getting back into it and there was just a couple times I was scratching my head trying to remember what so-and-so was up to before.

I thought the whole thing was fascinating and well put together. Matthew's moral dilemna about accepting the inheritance was quite a thoughtful situation. I really like Lady Edith and want good things for her. She has a great smile and reminds me of our Teela.

I don't see anybody stepping off of any pedestals into any real worlds. The show is called Downton Abbey. It has to be saved, right? That's what I'm thinking.

Of course that scene at the end with Mr. Bates was something to think about.

Mr. Bates may turn out not to be such a nice guy. It will be interesting to see what unravels in the up coming episodes. As far as Matthew I would feel the same if I were in his situation. He is a moral guy and has a heart.

I have already set up the DVR for next weeks episode. :rose:
