Oh wow Ima watch that puppy. Lowe's funny as fok. I was really disappointed they ended up ending his direct TV commercial campaign. It was ridiculous.

I was actually starting to feel sorry for the cunt. I can't stand her, but I certainly can't stand feeling sorry for her.

Her attempts at jokes were basically, "She's like Hillary." Painful to watch.
 
Hey here's maybe something.

I am seeing the premier of Quarry in my listings. I heard about this a long time ago - like I believe I heard it about it the same time I first heard about Vinyl - I wouldn't be surprised if there is a post in this very thread about checking out Vinyl and Quarry at whatever future time they arrive - but since then Vinyl has obviously arrived and done a full season and been cancelled - so you get the idea how long ago it was that I heard about Quarry - but there was something about it made me file away a mental note - that note being check it out - I can't even remember what specifically interested me - but whatever, the note remains - and now I am seeing it in my listings and I am recording the premier.

It is a Cinemax show. I don't know what to make of the extreme delays in releasing it. Seems like it can't be good but hey, checking out a premier is not a major commitment. An hour and twenty, it is blocked in as, this premier.

So by all means, join me in checking out Quarry.

It is being called a crime drama about a guy having trouble repatriating on his return from the Vietnam war. Hopefully it's more like The Night Of than Vinyl.
 
They are filming parts of episode 5 in this coming season of Chicago Fire, a few houses down from us.

They've totally changed the style of the living room the past 3 days and are shooting tonight until 4 am

We are pet sitting for the people's dog

I guess an 11 year greyhound rescue didn't fit in their script
 
I gave Inception a second viewing. That's a tough one for me to rate.

No question it is inventive and different. It's good that there is someone out there with ideas that go beyond "re-imagining" the Magnificent 7.

But it's also over-engineered and cockamamie. I was disappointed in the portrayal of dreams. Would have liked A LOT more trippiness, instead of just the odd little glimpse of what dreams can be like - and then all the dreams were basically like reality with a lot of straight-forward (humdrum?) chit-chat and gunplay.

Mild thumbs up I guess? 6.1?

Episode 1 of Quarry was pretty good. I'll keep going with it.

I just hope I don't get sucked into something and then it ends up being cancelled. There is a conspicuous lack of star power. The only actor I really recognized was Marlo from The Wire. A few are vaguely familiar but yap - lack of star power.

Very inspired ending. Like too inspired really. Expecting something like that every episode can only lead to disappointment.

But we'll see.
