I see Narcos is signed up for seasons 3 & 4 already. I reckon that's good.

I am thru 6 episodes of season 2. It's good but I have a couple of problems. One is (miniscule spoiler alert?) there are some extreme inconsistencies with motivations. They can't seem to keep track of who is in favor of proper traditional law-and-order and who is willing to cross the line. It's not overwhelming but it's distracting.

The other problem for me is I don't care about the main character/narrator guy. He is the least interesting person in the show.

I'm liking Quarry a lot. Very stark and gritty.

But I'm carrying around this feeling that I am setting myself up for disappointment because it will be cancelled. I've never seen anything whatsoever about the ratings so that probably makes no sense but I just feel like there is a lack of stars and hype and buzz.

But it's good IMO. Each episode seems to have a jaw-dropping action scene that leaves me wondering if I'm really seeing what I'm seeing. The regular actors must all have background as stunt-people because they do shit.

I LOVE the girl. I have totally fallen in love with the girl. The character/the actress - not sure lust or love - whatever.

I keep trying to get int shameless. About 3 starts now. I usually only last 1-2 episodes and forget

I will try again as they just used our back for filming again. All the homes they shoot are 2-3 blocks over from here. Still have not seen a star after coming across 30-40 live filming set ups the past few years

I was curious how the original British Shameless did in terms of longevity so I looked it up. 11 seasons it lasted. 138 episodes, I think?

No idea if the two versions kind of flow along the same plotlines or have gone their separate ways long ago.

Episode 1 of Westworld was somewhat intriguing. The production values are very good and the acting is VERY good.

The episode was mostly set-up so I can't be sure exactly where they're going with it - but I'm afraid it may end up having the same problem I have with a lot of stuff having to do with artificial intelligence. When you have watched as much movies/TV as me, it just gets very very repetitive. Certain philosophical directions are irresistible.

You can present the same stuff in different packaging - but it's still the same stuff.

Which reminds me, I wonder what happened to Humans. Seems like it has been forever since season 1 ended.

. . . ah. Season 2 scheduled to start this month.

Anyway, I'm not sure how far Westworld is going down the AI path. Have to wait and see.
