In other reports, I have watched episode 1 of new seasons of Peaky Blinders and Orange is the New Black.

Peaky Blinders was very good. Orange is what it is.

Orange is mostly shitty now. Very preachy about LGBTQ and now guns. There was a flashback scene with Maureen where she didn't even flinch at someone buying an AR-15 rifle in the Walmart she works at. #socialcommentary #rolleyes

I have just done my regular Sunday check of movie reviews and it seems that Independence Day: Resurgence is a particularly shitty form of shitty. Seems to be averaging about 1 star.

I didn't see the original and I won't be seeing that.

The Shallows and Free State of Jones would seem to be better, but what I am seeing is not grabbing me and they will not be going on my "Want to See" list either.

Gotta say though, I have had about 8 significant predictions come true in the last few episodes but I am starting to seriously doubt the big one: that Khaleesi (sp?) is going to win the overall game of thrones.

Seems way too obvious now and like they won't be able to resist throwing a twist into that.

Here's what pisses me off - from about a million movies/TV shows.

The scene in the hospital room where some people are visiting the sick/injured person. Then suddenly the monitor goes into continuous BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP mode - CODE BLUE!!! - and emergency personnel rush into the room with their crash carts and whatever.

They want to get to work on resuscitating the dying person - but the visitors are still there saying, "What's happening? I need to know what's happening!!"

And everyone is all like GTFO - there are more important uses for my time at this critical moment than explaining shit to your stupid face - plus you're right in the way - but still the moron choads are like, "I'm not leaving until someone explains shit to me RIGHT NOW!!"
