No Country For Old Men (2007) - Was playing on the Aboriginal channel (APTV) last night. Chigurh is still the most terrifying villain I've ever seen.

Not sure I get the point of the movie. Law enforcement gets old and they retire, full of sorrow and melancholy? :dunno:

Hold still.

8.7 Matty Rains

Still Alice (2014) is an unrelentingly harrowing movies. It has educational value - regarding Alzheimer's disease - early onset Alzheimers in this case. But not a lot of fun and whimsy should be expected.

Seems to be a foregone conclusion that Julianne Moore will win the Oscar. She has done so much good work in the past but it will not be one of these charity lifetime achievement things they sometimes hand out (Paul Newman for Road to Perdition, Sean Connery for The Untouchables). It is a strong and deserving leading role.

That's about it. Don't know how to rate it. It's well done but I don't think I would ever want to see it again.

Let's say 6.5 life-sucks out of 10.

Better than American detective shows IMO in doing a better job of concealing who the killer is until late in the show. Keeps you guessing!
