just looked at the gg awards...how did The Affair win something : ... and how did the broad on that show win best actress in a drama tv show? fuck i feel like i just watched the movie/tv show equivalent of the cowboys games from the last 2 weeks

Now that's how you fokken do it. When you start a new season of a show - obviously after a break of some duration - you need a previously on such-and-such bit. Doesn't necessarily have to be 10 minutes long, just a bunch of quick cuts that make you say, "Oh yeah!" and remember the key shit about where you left off.

It is essential and so many shows do a crappy job of it - or not at all.
