Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) - Some folk singer guy with a temper likes to blow his chances at the big time. More depressing than I thought, but quite gripping. Lead actor looked like he was actually performing the songs, both guitar and voice. Enjoyable but a slightly sub-par Coen Bros flick IMO.

Her (2013) - Also more depressing than I thought, but in a good way. As usual, Spike Jonze explores the human condition in the quirkiest way he can think of. I thought it was really well done - after seeing the trailer, it looked like it would be an uncomfortable watch la Lars and the Real Girl, where you pity the poor awkward guy, but it wasn't that at all. More thought-provoking than weird.

Would watch again. I lost track of the plot at some point while taking care of baby, so I'm not sure why all the OSes left (anyone?)

Anyhoo.

The guy playing Llewyn Davis definitely did his own music. He talked about it on the Daily Show. He is as much a musician as actor (at least he has been up until this point in life although that movie could make a difference for him).

He was very impressed with T-Bone Burnett and the extreme attention to detail with the music in the movie and prepared like a sonofabitch from the sound of things.

He was saying they even did few concerts where he and others performed music from the movie. Sounded a bit odd to me but that's what he said.
 
This is the Group of Death for me this year. Jennifer Lawrence AND Julia Roberts? Holy fuck, what is wrong with these idiots?

I haven't seen Nebraska yet and I won't be seeing any Woody Allen movie, but chicky-poo from 12 Years a Slave was good enough. Give it to her.

I have been doing the wire past few years, but recently got the Apple TV and watch all my torrents AND NHL game centerlive wireless. Ata and mad decent as well.

I have a WiDi thingie that does the same thing as AppleTV, but it's iffy. Shoulda just bought the damn AppleTV.

Either way my TV is like 3 feet away from my laptop, using a cable just makes sense.
 
Blitty, when I'm on the inside once in awhile at work all the people passing by, see an Apple laptop I'm using, "man, you got an Apple, damn!" That's right MFer and "MrsM has one too!" At work being round those guys, I feel really special and smart! Then I come here at GL to the real world!
 
Holy fuck Mad Men is terrible. I stopped at the end of season 2 b/c I couldn't bear it. Now I just get home from work and catch an episode in season 5 that my wife is watching. Terrible. Gotta be the worst show going. Writing - sucks. Acting - sucks.

I guess I can't speak to anything else.
