5, it appears.

I actually watched 5-6 episodes in a row a few years back. Might have been season 2???

I was watching it with Jenny but I did get some guilty pleasure from it. Story-wise it was chock full of holes and absurdity but I enjoyed some of the music.

Hadn't heard it mentioned in ages.

Prisoners (2013) - First of all I am really pissed off with the freedom with which people (meaning trailers and reviewers) throw spoilers around. I knew way too much about this movie going in.

Anyway, I had seen a few rave reviews for this - I am less enthusiastic. It's pretty good but that's about as far as I go. I felt there were serious pacing problems and a few too many eyeroll moments. Overall thumbs up though.

6.9 out of 10

Well, in terms of eyeroll moments per square mile, there are worse things out there. It wasn't like the last season of Dexter. But there were a few that bothered me.

But I am very critical and - pardon me if this is douchey to say - sophisticated. I notice things that fly by a lot of people.

But ~7 out of 10 is not a bad rating from me.

Cloud Atlas has finally made it to my channels. I am recording it and will check it out at some future time.

Not sure what to expect. I don't think anyone I know saw it. I saw several reviews repeating over and over how it is ambitious, but I can't recall anyone ever saying it successfully realized its ambition. But apparently it's ambitious. It became a bit of a quiet joke to me, people calling Cloud Atlas ambitious. Even just now when I was looking through my listings, the description for it began This wildly ambitious and deeply moving epic . . .

I chuckled.

To be honest, I am not expecting to like it particularly.

Seems like there are bunch of promising movies coming out now.

Lotta rave reviews for the movie Gravity which, apparently, one must see in 3D on a big screen.

Don Jon - pretty good reception.

Rush - good reviews

Thanks for Sharing - maybe next on my download list

Enough Said - positive reviews. I hope it's not just nostalgia for Gandolfini.

somewhat interesting that he's an asshole, most of the time writers dont make protagonist assholes on purpose like with him. what i don't like about these type of medical/detective shows is that everything starts and ends in 1 hour, dont like the rushing of the stories.

I basically liked House.

I thought it had pros and cons.

Pros: I like Hugh Laurie. I found it had quite a few funny moments. I found it a bit educational in terms of actual legitimate medical discussion. I also found there were some interesting and curious situations that arose.

Cons: VERY formulaic. The more you watch, the more you become aware it. Often the characters acted more like devices than people. Like they would take turns being ridiculously judgmental of things going on with the various patients - just to promote discussion. It didn't seem organic.

I watched damn near every episode but I have no desire at this point to watch reruns, nor do I anticipate ever having that desire.

Another pro: it had a couple chicks I find very hot.

I found Shame to be an extremely well played tale of sex/alcohol addiction. Very Leaving Las Vegasesque but a completely different experience. So graphic it received an NC-17 rating in the States which they called a badge of honor. Very dark but you can't take your eyes off of it, incredible acting across the board and off the charts writing.

Watch this movie but not with your kids or the feint of heart.

9.3 bacons.

Rush - good reviews

Enough Said - positive reviews. I hope it's not just nostalgia for Gandolfini.

It always amazes me that they can use exactly same title on a movie such as Rush. Sure it's been 22 years but this shit happened and Clapton won a grammy on the soundtrack.

I look very much forward to Enough Said. His encore performance and it's with Elaine, man.

Rumor going around that Paulie Walnuts is looking for Muddy. Not sure what that's about but I'm sure it's no big deal. I told him last I heard you were chucking stuff, he hung up.
