Watched Skyfall (2012). I'm not a big James Bond guy to begin with; I feel no obligation to watch the movies but there was a fair fuss about this one when it came out. I recall someone credible saying it was the 3rd best of all time. The imdb rating is very high.

So I watched it.

I'm not feeling it. Even for a Bond film which, let's face it, are all very cliched and formulaic, this felt half-baked to me. As much as I like Javier Bardem, his villain was kinda unambitious.

There were some creative stunts, no denying that. It didn't put me to sleep - I'm not saying that. It was just kinda like, "Oh, that's it eh?"

I'll go 5.9 out of 10.

Gravity (2013) - Breathtaking. Stop whatever the fok it is you're doing and go see the movie before it leaves theaters. It's more of a thrill ride than a movie, but goddamn is it effective. Oustanding experience and cinematic achievement. I would pay $15 to watch the making-of.

9.8 Matty Rains -0.2 Matty Rains for usual Hollywood cheese and overly grandiose music. Final score is 9.6 Matty Rains out of a possible 10.

This is going to sell so many 3D TV's.

Go see it. I'm serious.

 no fucking way is a movie bullock the highest rated movie you have seen...

Muddy we are requesting you to watch Prisoners

I watched it 2 or 3 days ago and posted this:

Prisoners (2013) - First of all I am really pissed off with the freedom with which people (meaning trailers and reviewers) throw spoilers around. I knew way too much about this movie going in.

Anyway, I had seen a few rave reviews for this - I am less enthusiastic. It's pretty good but that's about as far as I go. I felt there were serious pacing problems and a few too many eyeroll moments. Overall thumbs up though.

6.9 out of 10

You talking about After Earth? Feels like awhile since that came out. I wouldn't think it was still in theatres. Must be getting close to TV.

The buzz I have heard rates it worse than horseshit.

It's an M. Night Shyamalan thing. Quite a career trajectory for that guy.

new legal show with Suranne Jones started ... Lawless UK .... and it was OK...

in the last show she was in , she was a cop and a bit of a whore, so i get hard watching her do anything now :betplom: she is so fucking sexy in a milf kind of way...

I usually stay away from watching anything in 3D

I like 3D. Some movies have underused it or used it as a gimmick when the 3D thing was the new fad, but several recent releases have been able to make it interesting.

Gravity just pushed back the limits of cinematography, in part because of the extensive use of 3D.

It's an astounding technical achievement.

Go see it. I see a lot of you still posting here, not going to see Gravity. Go see Gravity before you have to buy a 3D TV just for it.
