I ran into this girl yesterday who used to be beautiful. She's looking kinda old and not too good. About my age. I've been noticing a lot of people now who I remember looking good and lively now appearing tired and decrepit. yep

I saw a guy my age that I have known a long time the other day and I was thinking to myself, yeah, poor guy, it's taking its toll. So much more tired and ragged than he used to be. Dude is heading down a road and there is no coming back.

Then I realized I was looking in the mirror.

Gotta say, the lack of nudity on Mad Men is really awkward sometimes. Like obviously I would like to see boobies - so there's that - but some of the scenes where they are going for titillation but can't show nip are so ridiculously contorted - I feel like they would be better off just not bothering and keeping it more subtle and abstract.

It pulls me right out of it. One moment I am absorbed with whatever they are portraying and then suddenly BOOM - oh that's right, I'm watching a bunch of actors on a show/network being watched over by pointless prudes.
