Men In Black 3 (2012) - I thought it was an interesting decision they apparently made to produce this movie without laughs. Strikingly uncluttered with effective humor, it was.

I like Emma Thompson but

Will Smith is capable of being very charismatic but these repeated scenes where he is bemusedly scrutinizing Agent K ?

Josh Brolin does an uncanny Tommy Lee Jones impression - I'll say that.

I woulda sworn the bad guy was Hugo Weaving but it ended up being Jemaine Clement. So that was a surprise. I bet I'm not the only one. Boy howdy. But he was interesting to look at.

I dunno. As far as the story, it's just a dopey turn-your-brain-off kinda thing. A time-killer. Not the worst I've ever seen.

Whoops, meant to post this here

Once again my PVR (DVR??) has cut off the end of a movie I taped. I would not say this is something that happens every other day but it is sure not the first time. Usually it just chops off the last 30 seconds of a show or something - which, make no mistake, can be very bad - but this time it chopped off, like, the last half hour of a movie.

And this was not a movie on my movie channels that is running all month and I can just grab it again next time. It was on a lower channel and I have no expectation of when it might run again.

I would like to make some kind of rant about how technology is making things worse and I never would have had this problem when I was punching in the start/finish times for recordings on my VCR - but oh, what a lie that would be.

So I thought it might be interesting to go online and see if the screenplay is posted and read the end of it. There are obviously limitations but I've seen the movie before and I just wondered what that might be like.

I found it - I found the screenplay!

Only problem: it has all the dialogue but no indication of who is speaking each line.

Not much point to that, I must say.

I'll tell you who's got it made: J.J. Abrams

Dude successfully rebooted the Star Trek movie franchise - and he's directing/producing at least 2 more of those. And now he's signed up to produce/direct the next Star fucking Wars.

Who knows how many more of both of those after that?

That is some lucrative shit right there.

That has been the stated plan for quite awhile: 3 more Star Warses. They are supposed to be sequels, continuing the story after Return of the Jedi. (But then if/when they make 8 gazillion dollars each, who's to say that plans couldn't expand?)

I saw the first three Star Wars that were produced (which are now considered episodes 4, 5 and 6). The first one in particular was quite an epic event of my youth. I have not seen the 3 prequels.

I have seen every Star Trek movie and dang near every episode of all the series too.
