Heading off to work shortly, and then soon after I get there I am heading back out again for a company sponsored breakfast. It was something that was arranged for a pregnant woman there who was getting close to her maternity leave. A farewell breakfast I suppose.

She already had her baby - last week - it was premature - so she's not around - but the breakfast is still on.

I have advance ordered bacon and eggs.

We only work at my place when it doesn't get in the way of other things.

I usually show up to work at 9:30 every morning, without making any special effort. I'm pretty much pre-programmed to arrive at my desk at 9:30.

On my walk to work this morning, the city seemed a lot quieter than normal. Short lineup at Tim Hortons. I guess it's Friday.

As I got close to my desk, I read the time on my phone.

It was 8:35.

WTF happened?

I'm translating this job posting template for a customer, and they tried to be funny at the end of their list of benefits & perks:

- All-you-can-eat salad bar
- OK, kidding about the salad bar

:wah::facepalm::wah:

I'm tempted to email them back and say Here you go! This one's on the house. Just kidding! That'll be $350.

We had a breakfast bar at my first job. It's not that crazy, you pricks.

Driving into work this morning, I passed a bicycle which was annoyingly erratic. I don't mind people riding their bikes but, you know, keep to the right and, you know, keep your shit under control. This is a road in an industrial section at rush hour with many cars and trucks of all sizes including very large.

Like I dunno, when I ride my bike I drive in a straight line right by the curb. I would guess I need maybe 3 feet of space from the curb ??? Something like that?? This guy was needing more like 10 feet with the way he was in and out.

I passed him and I saw the problem. He was riding with no hands while typing with both thumbs on his smartphone.

Oy vay.

I bet she feels like she's really come up with something when she says that.

I would like to go bowling. I used to really enjoy bowling and was pretty good at it.

Unfortunately, Jenny is basically the only person in my life and, with the neverending litany of pain and surgeries ---> bowling is not in the cards.
