I thinking some federal laws might have been broken, Sandusky was flying kids on the Penn St plane to bowl games after he was caught in the shower with a boy and admitted he abused another boy to the mother.

I've only heard this mentioned once, on the radio and haven't read it (is it in the GJ report)

but that not only did he admit to it, but that he said "I wish I were dead" to the mother.....

is that true? and is this the mother that talked to him with the police in the other room?
 
I heard on the radio that he admitted to the mother while the cops were in the other room. Where this took place, I am not sure was it at the moms house, the police station, or at PSU? Also what police, state, local, or campus?

Why was nothing done after the fact? Cops don't just listen in on conversation, if there is no suspect reason or cause?

Does the missing DA and hard drive have anything to donnish why this was not persued?

I got lots of questions, that am sure will come out? People will start to

and I don't think i'm exaggerating when I think when it comes down to it... there were maybe over a thousand people that had a "good idea" that Sandusky was doing this kinda shit.....

yeah the DA laptop thing is really curious....

Also why would Meyer want this job? Who is going want this job?

I think it could take PSU a few coaches before they get this corrected.
 
I don't put much stock in board of directors

as many times they are in name only, and just do some fundraising....


I don't really think it will be Meyer, though he gets mentioned with Al Groh...

but I don't think it will have the lasting effect that some people are forecasting now...

but it wasn't like PSU was really competing at a high level anyways. They are 2nd or 3rd Tier now anyways...

I think that is BECAUSE of JoePA staying around toooo long though.

the fan base will not abandon PSU, they'll still put 100k+ in Beaver stadium every saturday they play....

there are alot of coaches that will be attracted to that....

this part of paterno's retirement announcement is very interesting to me. it comes off to me as something of a warning to the board that if they really want trouble, paterno will be glad to give it to them. i'd lay 100:1 that paterno did indeed want something done when this was first being reported/alleged, and someone or some group above him put the kibosh on the whole thing. it doesn't mean paterno still couldn't have "done more," something else he alluded to in his statement, but he's certainly not the only one who couldn't have done more, including parents, other assistant coaches and certainly law enforcement.

1998 — Victim 6 is taken into the locker rooms and showers when he is 11 years old. When Victim 6 is dropped off at home, his hair is wet from showering with Sandusky. His mother reports the incident to the university police, who investigate.

Detective Ronald Schreffler testifies that he and State College Police Department Detective Ralph Ralston, with the consent of the mother of Victim 6, eavesdrop on two conversations the mother of Victim 6 has with Sandusky. Sandusky says he has showered with other boys and Victim 6’s mother tries to make Sandusky promise never to shower with a boy again but he will not. At the end of the second conversation, after Sandusky is told he cannot see Victim 6 anymore, Schreffler testifies Sandusky says, “I understand. I was wrong. I wish I could get forgiveness. I know I won’t get it from you. I wish I were dead.”

Jerry Lauro, an investigator with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, testifies he and Schreffler interviewed Sandusky, and that Sandusky admits showering naked with Victim 6, admits to hugging Victim 6 while in the shower and admits that it was wrong.

The case is closed after then-Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar decides there will be no criminal charge.

hell before the whole 2002 grad assistant Mike Mcqueary thing.... this was ALREADY in the hands of the authorities

they bascially investigated, figured out Sandusky was a Perv, got him to admit to it, say it was wrong....

and then left it alone......


really?????
 
were there no dads around in these cases?
I suspect he preyed poor fatherless kids...
cause I cant imagine any father ever finding out about this and not taking some action if the authorties didnt

maybe why the DA went missing???
