What's wrong with Christians putting other Christians first? It has nothing to do with being afraid to die. It has everything to do with protecting your own country, your own home and family. According to Eurostat and the UN, the number of refugees from Syria make up a small amount of the actual people coming in. Women and children are not the overwhelming majority of people coming in. We, as a country, have the right to put our people first. Actually, we are supposed to. And no, by creating a no-fly zone which can protect a perimeter, you don't have to have "Boots on the ground". Why don't other Middle Eastern countries take these refugees in? There has to be a reason.

He asked Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

In reply Jesus said: A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. Look after him, he said, and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.

Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?

The expert in the law replied, The one who had mercy on him.

Jesus told him, Go and do likewise." (Luke 10:29-37)

Yeah, I don't think you'd end up winning that one. If you put up a sign outside your business saying "no blacks", you're discriminating. You don't have to beat them back at the doorway to prove it.

I don't know. She wasn't arrested for denying service/discrimination per se, she was arrested for posting racist written material that is designed to stir up racial hatred. She claims her government official confirmed as a private business owner she was free to deny service, but I don't know the laws of England, so I don't know if that is correct or not. I also don't know if she said that before or after she was arrested. In any case deny/denied/tomato tomato...

I've been mostly trying to speak to what the law would be here, though I'd be more than a bit surprised if UK allowed businesses to discriminate based on religion.

Ditto to everything that MFer has said.

Also, even if you're okay with the personal ethics of putting other Christians first, you should recognize that putting that into policy goes squarely against the foundations of our government.

"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." Matthew 7:6

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it." Matthew 7:13

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." Matthew 7 15-20.

"Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain." Ezekial 22:27

"Therefore a lion from the forest will attack them, a wolf from the desert will ravage them, a leopard will lie in wait near their towns to tear to pieces any who venture out, for their rebellion is great and their backslidings many." Jeremiah 5:6

"A lion has come out of his lair; a destroyer of nations has set out. He has left his place to lay waste your land. Your towns will lie in ruins without inhabitant." Jeremiah 4:7

I can do this all day.

Sorry. None of those are the words of Jesus. Refugees are also not false prophets. I mean, WWJD? Send them back? If that's the message you get from the Bible, I guess I see absolutely no good in it.

Not according to Federal law, specifically U.S. Code 1158 which reads in part "The burden of proof is on the applicant to establish that the applicant is a refugee, within the meaning of section 1101(a)(42)(A) of this title. To establish that the applicant is a refugee within the meaning of such section, the applicant must establish that race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion was or will be at least one central reason for persecuting the applicant."

I fail to see your point, here.
