Is my dad ashamed of me?

MrX that is a golden story. I would make that frame have an unfortunate campfire accident.

Tempting, but my family takes that sort of shit very seriously. My sister once "stole" a nut-bowl from my parents house as an attempted practical joke and it launched a drama that lasted nearly a year. She was almost disowned. True story.

My dad and I used to play a lot of cribbage together. He is a natural card player and is in the top 20 Bridge players in Canada for lifetime Master Points (that's what competitive bridge players earn).

Top 20 in Canada. Pretty damn impressive if you ask me. He never talked about it either. I kind of dragged it out of him obliquely by accident a few years back.

But yeah, we used to play quite a bit of cribbage. Then we invented another game: egabbirc. That's cribbage backwards where you play trying to not get points. First to 121 loses. Good game. We thought we invented it but I discovered later that other people figured it out too.

Egabbirc.

Why the fok would your dad distrust your own math though? Did you not tell him you were MrX? It made an impression on me when you did.

Ah the nut bowl incident. You can't even mention that at all. Twenty years could pass and it will still be too soon. Jack is a piece of work to say the least. I will remember the next time we're in Green Bay to take a picture of the "Cribbage Event wall" and post it. Impressive to say the least. I am so amazed and proud that my husband turned out so awesome.

No I doubt it's a case of slipping that much. I must have mis-remembered the number and subconsciously bumped it up.

Top 30 in the country - still awfully good.

Too bad he didn't devote all his card-playing efforts to poker.
