Reno is spot on with saying this thread has provided an interesting window in to human nature.

You're using the cheat dealios in WWF aren't you?

No fucking way. That would not be any fun.

You're not going to want to hear this, but I actually pass up many of the better plays, because I don't think it's very fun to play a style that's all about winning. I like to play with a similar vocabulary. It's no fun to abuse someone's lack of memorization of obscure 2 and 3-letter words.

Anyway, we'll play some scrabble in person when you make it to denver. I'm no cheat. :)

I agree that it is not as fun when you are using the xi and zas ...those are the two I know offhand. I will always use them though. Props to you if you don't...but yes..you should have kept that information to yourself. lol.

I also didn't mean to make that picture that big. I know you are not a cheat...I just like to give you a hard time. .

All i'll say is if communism was such a great idea, how come more countries don't adopt it?

You're thinking so black and white.

The United States has many socialistic aspects. Many prosperous countries are much more socialistic than we are. Some countries are more socialistic and are struggling. Some are thriving. What do you have to say about the role of China as a major force in just about everything on the world stage?

I didn't think that you were actually accusing me, but I understand your position. I play against an old friend that beats me 90% of the time, and even though I don't really think she'd use a cheat, I find myself shaking my head often and wondering a bit.

That's one of the problems with Scrabble. At it's highest competitive level, it bears little resemblance to the fun vocabulary game that most of us think it should be.

And where you draw the line is pretty personal and arbitrary.

I know we have a lot of those aspects. Speaking of China, if they had a vote tomorrow to change their system to the US system (warts and all), or keep the stauts quo, how do you think they would vote?

I think far more Chinese would love our system then Americans embracing the Chinese way.

Is this really what you think? That the Chinese population would vote to be more American?
