I am doing a budget

I'm seriously thinking about giving up coffee. It is only a minor issue budget-wise; I get free coffee at work; I can only guess what coffee at home costs; 9 cents per cup?; I have pretty much cut out the gratuitous trips to Tim Hortons.

I've done it before, given up coffee. Obviously not permanently - but for a couple years at a time.

Maybe it's time again. Thinking about that again.

I'm not really enjoying coffee these days, is what it is.

It just seems a bit gross alluvasudden, for some reason. JUst like, what do I need this for?

Like I actually do need it for addiction reasons. I drink enough that I will get a headache if I go without. But that is overcomeable.

We'll see. Developing story here.

Fuck that, coffee stays

:greencheck: I have recently learned what a bitch I am, ALL day if I don't get some coffee or redbull. My sister has recently learned what I pita I am to wake up.

Unless you're hot and got a dick, or you have coffee in hand, FUCK OFF.
P.S. DO NOT attempt to converse with me prior to consumption, if you do, I cannot be held responsible for what may ensue.

try a different kind, or maybe clean your maker, or some shit. I dunno.

What you are describing is addiction. Coffee affects your behavior because you are physically dependant on it. Take it away for awhile, you will be the same person you think coffee makes you.

You have just gotten so that you need coffee to bring you to normal. Like a zillion other people, including me.

Me personally, I see nothing cool or honorable or worth-fighting-for in that. The only issue for me is if it's enjoyable.

I'm not addicted to caffeine. When I drink decaf coffee it has the same effect as regular coffee. But I also get the same effect when drinking orange juice, milk or water for breakfast. My conclusion is my body needs fluids in the morning to function and not necessarily caffeine. Any fluid will jump start me.

It's weird that I started having sugar in my coffee out of the blue some months back after decades of no sugar.

Not just sugar but actually quite a bit of sugar.

Maybe I would like it better if I went back to no sugar.

I don't really want to stop drinking coffee. To quit coffee would feel like a measure to increase my chances of a long life and that is definitely not a priority for me.

As I said somewhere recently, I think I would start smoking if I could think of one minor thing remotely positive about it. But there is nothing.

Coffee is all I got to kill me.

Extensive scientific research has been conducted to examine the relationship between coffee consumption and an array of medical conditions. The consensus in the medical community is that moderate regular coffee drinking in healthy individuals is either essentially benign or mildly beneficial. In 2012, the National Institutes of HealthAARP Diet and Health Study analysed the relationship between coffee drinking and mortality. They found that the amount of coffee consumed correlated negatively with risk of death, and that those who drank any coffee lived longer than those who did not. As far as relevant data, the message is confusing. The consensus is that drinking coffee like I do is bad for the health and in theory a viable method of gradual, socially acceptable suicide.

HOWEVER, the devil is in the details.

For one thing, one of the main concerns is coronary stuff - but they always specify how the danger is in proportion to the level of hypertension.

I am in the extreme low end of the hypertension spectrum. Barely got a pulse here.

Even stranger, they say that there is particular danger for people under 55. But then for people over 55, no. Ridiculous coffee may even be beneficial.

I'm about to turn 52. What does that mean to my death wish?
