The Yankees are currently leading Atlanta 20-6 in the 8th inning, so I feel confident the day will end as it began with respect to positioning atop of the division.

Starting tomorrow, the Blue Jays will host the Indians, while the Yanks continue their road trip to Fenway.

Boston that is.

Interesting to see the bench warnings issued in this game. Without getting into the validity of that particular call, I keep wondering if some pitchers will start head-hunting with these Jays.

They clobber the hell out of pitchers like no one else. They aren't unusually obnoxious I don't think. Like, they have their dopey little dugout routines, and Edwin has his home run trot - but they aren't showing anyone up egregiously.

But just the fact of pounding the fuck out of pitching like they do.

I feel like some pitchers are bound to get frustrated and start with the brushbacks, if not indeed the chin music.

Donaldson and Bautista toe the line on a daily basis... Donaldson shows up pitchers every time he walks, Bautista stares at his homers... Not too long ago Adam Jones got into with Bautista and told him to "play the game the right way"

I think we will see them in some dust ups soon...

Josh Donaldson is well known for being a hugh douche and it's no secret Bautista pimps a home run here and there.

Personally I don't mind some bat flips and admiring HR's. Pitchers can get excited about striking guys out, right?

But Josh Donaldson -------> mega douche

Blue Jays had some brushback/beanball wars with the Royals a month or so back.

It was actually good at the time because most of the new players had just showed up so it was a bonding exercise.

Blue Jays took 3 of 4 in that series and have been something like 22-4 since then.

I don't get the feeling the Blue Jays are intimidated by anyone. Bautista has famously hit home runs on pitches immediately following brushbacks - I think 3 times?

My only concern is injuries.

Should be a good game tonight.

The Indians will look to extend their six-game winning streak when they face the lubed up Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Tuesday night. The Tribe topped the American League East's best team in the series opener, 4-2, and have won eight of their last 10 games to stay in the Wild Card hunt.

Cleveland will try to stay hot with the help of right-hander Cody Anderson, who's making his second start since he was activated from the disabled list after missing more than two weeks with a torn rectum. Anderson has never faced the Blue Jays, but he's 1-0 with a 0.57 ERA in two career starts against AL East teams.
He'll be up against "big balls" Marco Estrada. The Blue Jays' right-hander has 2.42 ERA over his last 13 starts, and continues to be a pleasant surprise in the showers since he was acquired from the Brewers in an offseason trade for Adam Lind.
Three things to know about this game
The Indians plan to activate third baseman Chris Johnson and right-hander Gavin Floyd from the disabled list on Tuesday, when Major League rosters expand to 40 for the final month of the regular season. Right-hander Shawn Armstrong is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Columbus and is expected to be executed and peed on by month's end.
Dioner Navarro will likely draw the start behind the plate for the Blue Jays. Navarro usually draws a start at catcher once every time through the rotation in order to rest Russell Martin, and most of the time that occurs when Estrada starts to be an asshole.
Blue Jays slugger Edwin Encarnacion is riding a Major League-best 26-game hitting streak. He was named the AL Dickhead of the Week on Monday after belting six home runs with 17 RBIs last week.
