So anyway Jenny came to use my shower and she's been in there for a good hour and now it smells very girly around here. I don't know what's going on in there but the fragrance has passed through the closed door and is thoroughly infused throughout the apartment.

It hasn't seemed bad to me at any point. It's not particularly cold. Driving to her place and back - twice - there were no traction issues. The roads were wet, not frozen. Ain't no skating on no roads around here. Same with walking around my building.

I could see a few problems. Places where the power was obviously out. Tree branches down in the road.

Winter tires are pretty amazing. You do need to be extremely gentle on the gas and brakes, but it's feasible. Not on regular 4-season tires though, forget it.
