Well that's good but doesn't matter who you have, they all seem to take forever! You guys up there I'm thinking have vehicles that all come with heavy duty batteries too! I mean I know where Pucky resides it's probably a must have!

Cold. That's the thing here lately.

I was lying in bed last night with two heavy afghans on me - I could feel the cold from the window at all times. Like I'm warm underneath but it's on my face and anything even slightly exposed.

Then I had to get up and pee. Just one non-stop shiver.

Ridiculous.

I'm a lifelong Canadian boy and I'm used to the weather in these parts. I have dealt with it all but fuck it - enough of this cold. Time to move on to the next thing.

Are you like our Mathieu where you don't have to pay for your heat? If so, why not just blast your heat in the winter?

Yeah it's friggin brutally cold out this way. December was a very, very cold month here this year. Christ I had my boys skating on the rink on Dec 14. That's just not typical around here for Dec. And now the start of this year has been just brutal.

Hey Muddy, do you think property owners are skimping on the heat because it's been a cold year. Ya know, trying to save on heating costs by turning the thermostat down a wee bit? Wouldn't surprise me.

What what? I have no control over my heat. I can bleed the registers - which I basically do once per season - and I can open windows. That's it.

Maybe some property managers skimp on the heat but I don't think mine do. I have been here for ~15 years and they have always treated me well. As I say, it is usually too hot (which you can then control with windows). I'd much rather have it that way than too cold.

But the last week has just been beyond the pale, as they say. Same deal at work the last couple weeks. Any time you are close to windows, you can feel the cold. It's been extreme.

I guess I have control over my heat inasmuch as I have the power to complain, but as I have mentioned here a few times, the normal ambient temp in my place is like 79 degrees so I don't feel too downtrodden about it.

Jenny is in the same boat. In fact she was complaining in the last week to her powers-that-be about her place being too hot.

Fair to say, Jenny is a complainer.
