We can't control our heat either. Most people in NYC can't.

That's twice the phrase "don't pay for heat" has come up in reference to not having a thermostat.

It's kind of like when residents of Ontario say we "don't pay for health care."

Just to be clear, we pay quite a bit for both things. The costs just happen to be built into other things.

It was freakin' cold again when I got into bed last night. Like I had my blankets folded back and the parts that were exposed were freakin' chilly when I pulled them over on me.
