So I just got an email from Visa Signature offering 2 free tickets and concession for advanced screen of Xmen. I have never received one of these before...it's at the Denver Pavillion. Obviously, I can't go, but signed up for them anyway. I read and reread the terms and nothing about being non transferable, it only says that resale is not an option. I want to give these to former roommate and his gf.

I called the customer service # and woman put me on hold and came back and said non transferable and will have to show a photo id but nothing on the terms and agreements says that. I think if I print out the info and send it to them, they should be good.

Anyone ever get/use one of these offers? Have you had to show a photo id to get the tickets? (at the time of the show)...they are being held in my name so not like they could fill the spot anyway....

Edit...fok it. I read the legalese and there is nothing that prohibits transfer. Worse case scenario he made a 20 minute trip downtown for nothing.

Ok Blitty..just got my miles/tickets from Barclays credited. Have done the spending on Sapphire and will pay it off at beginning of the month. 4 free tix in 2 months...sweet...

It was not nearly as difficult to get to the 3k as I thought it would be...of course I did have a crown I prepaid for, and one other big ticket item. I'm ready to pay those off, put away and start on the next one.

Do you know of any other current good bonus offers? GMA did a segment on these guys who have flown around the world for free this morning and it got me all amped up again.

How long are these miles normally good for? It probably makes no sense for me to use my one shot at immediate bonus miles when I can't travel at the moment.

I just applied for the US Airways one. It told me processing can take up to 10 days. That tells me it's a denial. My FICO score is good so it tells me that this being the 4th card I've applied for in 2 months is the reason if I am denied. Ha..That may bring my score down some too. Have more credit than I will ever need, so not worried about that really. The other 3 I was immediately approved with 10k plus credit limits each. The only balance I am carrying is the Sapphire one which will be paid off at beginning of month. I suppose they know you don't need credit and they can tell from the cards you opened that you are just mile whoring. We will see, but I think if they don't give you an answer immediately, it's probably a denial. I could be wrong.

Why do you think you will get denied for the Chase Ink business card? Because you don't have a business? I don't even know what that one is.

I guess I'll get to work on spending $1500 by 8/11 on the Citibank for $100 cash credit. That US Airways one was sweet though. I think it can be used on American airlines too.

US Airways don't seem like the best carrier.. I regret getting the Chase United Explorer card because United flights kinda suck and are limited.
I have the Chase/United Mileage Plus and have for years. For a long time that was the only airline to fly Denver/SF so was good. I think I have about 26k miles there..about enough for one ticket...I think. United is a good one to have in the 605. The US Airways one I only thought about cuz I think they partner with American which does fly out of SF.

Thanks. I need to get organized with this stuff.

I just like the flexibility of Sapphire and Barclays because it's for any carrier.
Well shit, My Barclays is Frontier Airlines card. I didn't know there was one that was for any airline.

US Airways burst my bubble. The gravy train is over for a while I think. I'll have to concentrate on actually earning the miles.
