When I was a teenager I worked in the grocery store in pretty much every department. Produce was the best, whip its in the cooler for the win. Actually we did that a lot in Dairy too then we'd come out all high racing around the store with the huge carts (the ones the employees use); I almost killed a couple people a few times flying through doors. We;d get trashed in the backrooms then come work in the aisles blasted. There was this one manager I hated when I worked dairy so I started eating the brown bag lunches he packed for himself. He hated me but I never gave him anything provable. Cashier was the worst but you could exact revenge for the masses by calling out the 26 item in the 15 or less aisle you speak of and publicly embarrassing them. You'd catch old ladies using mass amounts of old and expired coupons they saved up too. This one lady gave me some attitude and only bought produce, I put it in manually and taxed all of it. She complained and I got caught, she got a refund and me a warning. I slept with a few girls from there too.

Then the new manager came and nothing was fun anymore and we all quit.

Stevies - you're one of those lunch stealers Mattay was raging about awhile ago. You better hope he doesn't see this.

I could imagine that working at a grocery store would be kind of fun when you're younger. There was a guy I went to high school that worked at Safeway from grade 9 on. When we graduated (he did the 6 yr program instead of the normal 5 so he could play football) he said he was going to keep working there. It blew my mind but then he said that he was already on something silly like $19/hr and he was due for a raise. Union. He still works there according to his facebook but not sure if it's still unionised or not.

Plommay - Arthur Street Safeway - intersection with Edward Street. Next time you're there go in and ask for Darren D and say that Shari M says hello :)

The lame thing I deal with is I live on the second floor of my building and sometimes people on my floor actually take the elevator.

I feel like giving them the stink eye - like, what's wrong with you? - but I don't have to because when the elevator arrives, I just walk past it as they hold the door for me. I can just decline politely - no thank you - and remain completely neighbourly while sending the clear message, "There are stairs right there. That is how non-lummoxes navigate this situation."

And if it so happens they have degenerative arthritis or some damn thing and they really do need to take the elevator, I have passed no judgement.

I am in passive-aggressive heaven when that happens.

I recall one time years ago I was in a bit of a mood and I actually said to someone, "No thanks, I'm just going to the ground floor."

But for the most part, I operate in implication.

:handshake:

If I ever am I will.

Actually I know a few people who have Ok with the grocery store gig, mostly high schoolers who didn't go to college. I can't do retail now, I just can't. The big word is union though, once you're in you do Ok until you leave.

Fok Maryland's last night uniform. UnderArmor has 17 new combination's for them so doubt we will see it again but I wish I had never seen it in the first place.

Fok the orange top haters here in Gator Country. I like our orange tops. While I'm at it Fok the same people that hate our old school white helments too.
