I'm not sure where it got off too, but Mr. and Mrs. Monkey have a pretty good wing recipe.
IAG - You should buy the "I don't know how to cook" cook book. That was one of my first cookbooks, and it has easy recipes in it, great for beginners.

Thanks...I'll look for it. I did get one called "I hate to cook" which may be more accurate. I know the basics...years of girl scouts will do that, but yes I want some easy recipes. I have bought a bunch of magazines that purport to have one skillet/crockpot/easy recipes, but I haven't gone thru them yet. The one thing I have never done much of is cooking meat. I usually just throw a chicken breast on the foreman and eat it plain with some mustard, or a piece of already prepared fish in the oven.

One thing I want to make is meatloaf since mom loves it and it's something she can still eat.

I did mix up a 3 ingredient batch of tuna salad yesterday for mom. Ha. Thanks. I will look forward to reading the thread even if I have to work my way up to some of the recipes. Like I said, I started reading and that first post looked so good I had to quit and get some lunch. ha.

Going to google amazon for that book.

Meatloaf is pretty easy, I can post a recipe later. I love it but Bacon does't like meatloaf so I haven't made it in a while.

If you don't like cooking, finding recipes with only a few ingredients is best...but the more you cook and learn, the more you might come to enjoy it.

Fish is a pretty simple item to cook. I like to bake in tin foil, with either some butter or oil drizzled over it, sprinkle with dill, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a splash of lemon juice. bake at 350 degrees until fork tender.
you can always buy those packets of 90 second rice and a veggie to go with it. In total about 20 minutes and dinner is done!

If it's all the time you have to put into cooking that gets you, I would see what you can find as far as 30 minute meals go.

Yeah, I don't hate it, but not something I would order in a restaurant (meatloaf,) but would like to try for mom. I wish she liked fish more as we could both eat that. Are those directions applicable for all fish?

I got all excited to make wings...went to the store yesterday with a giant list...needed about 9 diff spices/sauces including Cayenne Bacon mentioned...plus the actual wings Went to get some sort of sauce required in a recipe only to find a bottle of premade sauce you can apparently just pour on them. Seems like a lot cheaper ...seems like just getting takeout is cheaper too...maybe not after the initial investment.

The amount of money I have spent on groceries in the last week is incomprehensible. I guess a lot of it is those damn K cups.

Don't get the premade sauce you can poor on them. We tried that once and didn't like it at all, the sauce isn't all that flavorful and very salty.

I think I may have gotten one bottle of that in case mine sucked. ha. So the wings are frozen now..should I thaw them...I guess I could look at the package.
