I stopped buying pre made coffee and Red Bull in favor of making my own coffee, but with just me, it's kind of a pita. Thinking about a Keurig, but there are so many different types. Not sure it's worth the expense...but I like the concept. I think.

I have used them quite a bit and they are convenient but the cups are expensive as hell. I have a pot and just make half a pot every morning simple as can be. I think it also tastes better than a Keirig. I think that is a personal opinion though.

I have heard there are two types of cup...a K cup and something else, and that the K cups are more available and cheaper...is that correct? I have tried to make half a pot, but seems like I am always getting it too strong. Plus I am lazy in the morning...really lazy. All I want to do is push a button. I could set the timer the night before I suppose...but I'm lazy then too. Do you have a recommendation on a model Amby?

How many cups do you drink, IAG? If you only drink one or two, I'd recommend the french press as well.

1 or 2...3 at the most...I know nothing of this press of which you speak. I will google, though it sounds like there is work involved...French PRESS....I don't want to work before noon.

I don't have any suggestions in regard to model. I would just not buy the cheapest because they will break. Something in the hundred dollar range. I thought all were the k-cup ones. I don't know that I have seen othe cups sold.

fiver snorts generic coffee, no time for anything else

Ok. Thanks. I was thinking that was about what I wanted to spend but the ones I like are more like $150-200....i'll keep looking....

Cami...I googled the French press...looks cool but waaaaaaay too much work for this girl.

It's not that difficult. Damn woman.
Maybe not difficult, but too much work...too many steps....too much time.. I would be fine doing this all this after I have my coffee but well, you get the gist.

Do an instructional video and let me see what is all involved. I don't even want to take time to grind my own beans anymore. I should get a blood test......I'm. so. tired.

We have the other type, Tassimo. The discs are also expensive and the coffee isn't all that great.

I buy the Tim Hortons discs so I can get the same crappy watered-down similicoffee experience at home, for a little bit less than the real thing.

It makes no sense really, but it's so convenient.

We have a Keurig unit here at work. You can buy those pre-packaged k-cups which are the better part of a dollar each - but there is also a little refillable basket that you can just fill up with plain old coffee and make a single cup of Maxwell House or Folgers or whatever you buy in bulk.

I bring some bulk Tim Hortons to work and drink that. It's good.

You don't necessarily have to grind your own beans, you can buy coffee pre-ground. Try taking an iron supplement and see if that helps.

A buck each? Well hell. If I drink 2-3 cups, I'm not saving much over my redbull. I would imagine you could buy those things in bulk at a warehouse store..Sams/Costco?

If you use the refillable basket with cheaper bulk coffee, how is it any different than a regular coffee maker?

What model is the one you use at work Muddy...is it a commercial type thing or a home one just brought into the office?

I saw a bunch of brand new ones for sale on CL for cheap...I wish I would have bought one of those when I saw them. You snooze you lose.
